Upward Bound: Careers
Computer Designer - Prepares sketches before using
the computer. The designer creates a detailed design using drawings,
a structural model, computer simulations, or a full-scale prototype.
Broadcast and Sound Technicians - work and play
music and/or setting up sound at concerts, staffing events, television
or radio.
Computer Programmer - writes tests, software and
programs. Computer programmers also update, repair and modify existing
programs. They are grouped into two types - Application Programmers
and System Programmers.
Computer Automated Teller and Office Machine Repairs
- data processing equipment who maintain mainframe and/or personal
computers. Office Machine Repairs are also know as office machine
and cash register services. They work on photocopiers, cash registers,
etc.
Choreography - this is a career where you teach
people how to dance. Computers are used for making a music video
or by evaluating other dance moves.
Mechanical Engineer - use computers to draw and
create structures in 3-D images.
