Tutor Training Guidebook: How Do I Get Paid?

When you are assigned a Tutee, Tom Rousseau will contact you first by phone or e-mail and then he will mail the “Request for Peer Tutoring” form that includes the tutee’s phone number, e-mail address, program affiliation and total hours of tutoring authorized for the semester.

The Tutee’s program affiliation determines the source of funding that is used to pay you. Students affiliated with a support program can often receive more than 12 hours of tutoring available to all other students.

The following outlines the required employment forms and payroll forms needed to ensure that you will be paid for your tutoring services. All forms must be completed and filed with the Peer Tutor Center and the Payroll office prior to the start of tutoring.

If you have any questions, please contact the Peer Tutor Center at (978) 665 3499.

Peer Tutors must complete the following documents:

  • Authorization for Employment forms for:
    • The Peer Tutor Center
    • Disability Services
    • Expanding Horizons
  • F.S.C. Personal Voucher Forms.
  • “Tutorial Agreement” Form with your first “Summary of Session” Form.

Note: After the tutorial session, the Summary of Session forms must be submitted to the Peer Tutor Center within 3 days of tutoring.

Paychecks can be picked up at the Payroll office located in the Anthony Building, Room 180, on a bi-weekly basis on Fridays after 9:00 a.m.
