Recreation Services: Rules and Regulations

Checking into the Recreation Center
All patrons must present a valid FSC One Card to be allowed into the facility. This is the only form of
identification that is accepted.
Guest Policy
Members of the Recreation Center are permitted to bring guests
into the facility provided they adhere to the following guidelines:
- Members may bring up to three (3) guests into the facility at
any one time – this can occur an unlimited number of times
during any semester or break.
- All guests must be 18 years of age, provide a photo ID for age
verification, sign a release form and pay the $5.00 guest fee.
- Members are required to accompany their guest(s) at all times
during their visit to the Recreation Center.
Youth Policy
Adult members of the Recreation Center (FSC faculty, FSC staff,
alumni and students) may bring their child(ren) – a parent
or legal guardian relationship must exist – into the Recreation
Center anytime provided they adhere to the following guidelines:
- All children/youth age 4-17 must be registered to use the Recreation
Center by their parent or legal guardian. A minor waiver must
be completed and signed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian,
the $5.00 daily guest fee or $25.00 quarterly fee must be paid
and all paperwork must be on file with Recreation Services prior
to admittance to the facility.
- All youth age 4-15 must be adequately supervised by a parent
or legal guardian. Adequate supervision is defined as: being present
with your child and monitoring their behavior in any and all activity
areas of the Recreation Center for the duration of your visit.
- All youth age 16-17 are permitted to utilize the Recreation
Center activity areas without direct parental or guardian supervision.
However, the parent or guardian must be in the Recreation Center
at the same time as their 16-17 year old.
- Under no circumstances will anyone under the age of 18 be admitted
into the Fitness Center.
General Facility Regulations
The Office of Recreation Services strives to maintain user-friendly,
safe recreational facilities for the FSC community. Please help
us reach this goal by adhering to the following regulations:
- Parking is available in designated areas only. Recreation Services
is not responsible for tickets issued to vehicles parked illegally.
- All patrons must check-in at the Reception Desk of the Recreation
Center upon entering the facility. You must present a valid One Card each time you utilize the Recreation Center.
- Recreation Services is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
For your own protection, please secure all items in a locker.
Locks must be removed after each daily use since lockers are for
day use only.
- Lost and found items will be stored at the Reception Desk for
one semester.
- Bikes, Rollerblades, Scooters or Skateboards are not allowed
in the facility.
- During the times of open recreation, the administrative staff
reserves the right to refuse any activity that may be deemed unsafe
or inappropriate for the Recreation Center. Some examples include:
baseball/softball, football, frisbee, lacrosse, soccer, street
hockey, etc.
- Food, gum and beverages, other than water in a closed container,
are not allowed in the Recreation Center activity areas. Water
fountains are located throughout the facility for your convenience.
There is also a bottled water machine located in the vending area
of the first-floor lobby. Please enjoy all pre or post-workout
snacks in the first-floor lobby.
- Smoking and/or the use of alcohol or drugs is not permitted
on the premises. Anyone thought to be under the influence of alcohol
or drugs will be asked to leave the facility.
- Patrons are responsible for any damage that they cause to the
Recreation Center or its equipment. Please report all equipment
failures to the nearest Recreation Services staff member as soon
as possible.
Note: All facility rules and regulations are subject
to review on an ongoing basis. Suggestions are welcome, and changes
will be posted and distributed to all patrons. Rule violations by
any person may result in forfeiture of Recreation Center privileges.
