**Clinical placements are identified and negotiated by the student.  Forensic practice areas are quite diverse therefore students have the flexibility to chose their particular area of interest and pursue clinical placements delivering such services.  Clinical sites may be identified and solicited in the location the student resides in. This is done with the supervision and guidance of graduate faculty.

Link to Sample Course Progression

Consider the following examples:

A student interested in child abuse advocacy may pursue a placement in a child welfare office, in a district attorney's office with a child advocacy professional, and in an emergency department conducting child abuse screening examinations.

A student interested in forensic mental health issues may pursue placement in a court clinic evaluating arrestees for competency, with a provider of court mandated services for sexual offenders, and with a forensic psychiatrist or other advanced practice clinician evaluating psychological sequelae of victims of torture.
