Mail Center: General Information

All registered day students living in the dorms will be assigned a Fitchburg State College mailbox each September. Commuters will need to request a box at the Mail Center, or by completing the Commuter Mailbox Request Form (PDF).  The form can be dropped off at the Mail Center or sent to:

Fitchburg State College
Mail Center
160 Pearl St.
Fitchburg, MA 01420

This is where you will receive mail from the United States Post Office as well as college notices and events, so please check your box frequently. A photo ID is needed for the combinations to get in to your box. Mailbox combinations will not be given to anyone other than the student who is assigned to that box

When corresponding within the College campus, no postage is necessary. Please include a return address and use full names for students and departments if addressed to Fitchburg State College faculty or staff. It is hard to get a piece of mail to "Johnny" and even harder to return if there is no return address.

Students may send/receive packages here via the United States Post Office including 1st Class mail as well as Certified Return Receipt, Express (overnight) and International mail. We will weigh the item and let you know the correct postage. You can use your One Card if you have Fitchburg Gold Funds added to your card for postage from the meter machine. Stamps are available for purchase through the bookstore in Hammond.

Please use this address for receiving mail/packages:
