Reading a Call Number :

The first two lines describe the subject of the book.

Call Numbers can begin with one, two, or three letters.
THe letters refer to the general subject: DS = History of Asia
These are followed by numbers, which refer to the specific subject matter:
DS559.45 = Vietnamese Conflict

The third line often represents the author's last name: H = Hallin

The last line represents the date of publication: 1986
