Information Technology: Website Development Support - Upload (Publish) a Website

Falcon Web Server:

• Uploading a Website to Falcon using SharePoint 2007 (Windows)
• Uploading a Website to Falcon using FrontPage 2003 (Windows)
• Uploading a Website to Falcon using Fetch (Mac)

You can also easily upload files using Internet Explorer on a Windows computer by going to ftp://falcon.fsc.edu/youraccount (replace with your account name).  The username is fscad\yourusername (replace with your FalconKey username) and the password is your FalconKey password (same as Blackboard, email).

In addition, virtually any FTP client will allow you to upload files to the falcon web server.  There are many free and shareware FTP utilities available on the web.  You will need the following information to configure your FTP client:

• Host - falcon.fsc.edu
• Username - <your FalconKey/email username>
• Password - <your FalconKey/email password>
• Account/Directory - <only needed for group sites, this information is sent to you via email when the account is setup>

Raven Web Server:

The raven web server is for administrative and academic departmental websites only.  Editing and publishing raven websites is accomplished using Macromedia Contribute.
