Fitchburg State University Faculty-Led, Short-Term Programs for Summer 2011:

If you are interested in other short-term programs, semester programs, or internships abroad, Fitchburg State is affiliated with the following study abroad providers, but keep in mind applications to study abroad at LMU or UV are sent through the Office of International Education at Fitchburg State University:

The Office of International Education at Fitchburg State University provides undergraduate students, with a GPA of at least 3.0, the opportunity to study abroad at a variety of colleges and universities overseas. If your GPA does not meet the recommendation, please speak to the Study Abroad Advisor or the Director of International Education to explore the options available to you. Programs vary in length from a few weeks to as long as a semester or a year. We assist students with pre-departure planning, academic support, and assistance in re-entering the United States after completing a study abroad program. Surprisingly, studying abroad is not as expensive as you think. In most cases financial aid may apply, even for students who currently do not have a financial aid package. While you are abroad you will have the experience of immersing yourself in another culture, but you will also have the opportunity to take courses and apply them to your degree here at Fitchburg State University.

We suggest that you plan your study abroad experience one year in advance (although it is possible to plan a semester in advance). Fitchburg State University has a wide variety of programs to choose from, depending on where you would like to go and what you would like to study. In addition to the programs we offer, our membership in the Massachusetts Council for International Education (MaCIE) provides links to over fifty other study abroad programs.
