Dates:

Four week program.  May 23, 2011 – June 20, 2011

Courses:

HIST Life in the Roman City (3 Credits)

This course will utilize the city of Verona as a learning laboratory, exploring archeological sites and ruins to complement the assigned readings.

Instructor: Professor Daniel Sarefield

Italian Language (3 Credits)

This course will be dedicated to learning the grammar and syntax skills of the Italian language.  Through a variety of real life exercises, students will have the chance to put their Italian to work through conversations with native speakers.

Instructor: Lingua IT

Renaissance Art In Italy (3 Credits)

This course offers an in-depth look at the art and architecture of the Italian Renaissance from c. 1300 to c. 1600, considered by many to be highest achievement of Western civilization. Through museum visits and city tours, students will see actual works of art as they are studying them.

Instructor: Professor Jessica Robey

Housing:

Students will stay in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments, with a kitchenette.  Hotel arrangements will be made for any excursions.

Excursions:

Florence, Rome, Padua, and Lake Garda
