Technology Education
In addition to courses in their concentration, all Industrial Technology students receive a well-rounded technical core of classes in electrical systems, metal fabrication, technical drawing, technical analysis, computers in industrial technology, chemistry, physics and the evolution of industrial technology. The Technology Education program prepares students for teaching technology at both the middle and high school levels (grades 5-12). Successful completion of this NCATE-approved program enables you to meet the provisional with advanced standing certification requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The curriculum covers critical thinking; the design process; the use of tools and machines in technology areas; safety techniques; teaching techniques, curricula design; and student teaching.
