Technology Education

Technology EducationThe Technology Education program prepares students for teaching technology at both the middle and high school levels (grades 5-12). Successful completion of this NCATE-approved program enables you to meet the provisional with advanced standing certification requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The curriculum covers critical thinking; the design process; the use of tools and machines in technology areas; safety techniques; teaching techniques, curricula design; and student teaching.

In addition to courses in their concentration, all Industrial Technology students receive a well-rounded technical core of classes in electrical systems, metal fabrication, technical drawing, technical analysis, computers in industrial technology, chemistry, physics and the evolution of industrial technology.
