Manufacturing Engineering Technology
The Manufacturing Engineering Technology concentration is designed to develop both the technical and analytical competencies required of positions in manufacturing engineering support. Students are trained to become resourceful, technically competent people who can interface between engineering and other personnel within the manufacturing environment. This program provides practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, the ability to apply the processes, and the ability to plan, coordinate and implement aspects of production projects.
In addition to courses in their concentration, all Industrial Technology students receive a well-rounded technical core of classes in electrical systems, metal fabrication, technical drawing, technical analysis, computers in industrial technology, chemistry, physics, and the evolution of industrial technology.
