Grant Center: Research in Undergraduate Institutions (NSF)
The National Science Foundation is seeking proposals under the
cross-directorate Research in Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) program,
which supports faculty members at predominantly non-research institutions. Awards
will support three major activities: Faculty research projects,
the purchase of shared research instrumentation; and research as
visiting scientists with NSF investigators at other institutions.
Deadlines vary by NSF directorate. For information, consult the
NSF website, www.nsf.gov
There is no specific funding setaside, but NSF spent about $26
million on RUI projects in fiscal 1999. Awards for faculty research
range from about $10,000 to more than $100,000 a year for three
years.
Predominantly U.S. two-year, four-year, masters-level and small
doctoral colleges and universities.
