Admissions Requirements
Applicants to the online master of science in forensic nursing are accepted on a rolling admissions basis. Applications are currently being accepted for fall 2009. The priority deadline for completed applications is July 15th; however, seats for this fall’s class may be filled prior to that deadline. Candidates meeting the college’s admissions criteria are accepted as their files become complete. Apply now to secure your seat in this fall’s
class.

To complete your application you will need:

  • An official transcript from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program
  • Three letters of recommendation including documenting a minimum of one year of recent successful clinical practice or part-time equivalent
  • A current US RN license
    *Applicants who reside and work outside of the U.S. are not required to hold a US RN license but instead must possess a current nursing license from the country they reside in and/or for which they will complete clinical coursework hours.
  • Professional resume
  • Official GRE or MAT test scores
  • Written two-part essay to include:
    Part I (no more than 300 words): Your reasons for wishing to attend graduate school

    Part II (at least 1200 words): Your specific interests, the type of work you would like to pursue in this field, and how you intend to pursue employment or volunteer work in this area
  • Official transcripts of any graduate-level course work
  • Application fee
    U.S. citizens and permanent residents: (non-refundable) $25
    International Students (non-refundable) $50

    International students studying in the U.S. on an F1 visa are not eligible to participate in this online degree program.

CORI-Criminal Offense Record Investigation may be required by certain clinical agencies;
the cost of funding a CORI may be at the student's expense
