Undergraduate Licensure Programs in Teacher Education

All undergraduate programs in teacher education are grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, with a comprehensive foundation in pedagogy that results in the preparation of highly competent teachers. The College's strength is rooted in its commitment to preparing person-centered, reflective practitioners, who are able to construct, articulate, and apply effective educational theories and research.

All teacher education majors graduate with a dual major in Education and in the liberal arts and sciences. The liberal arts and sciences major is required of all future teachers by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Fitchburg State College.
