Disability Services: Accommodations
Disability Services promotes equitable access to college opportunities by removing environmental and attitudinal barriers to the teaching and learning environment. To guide these efforts, Disability Services embraces the sociopolitical model of disability and the principles of universal design for the teaching, learning and living environment.
The Primary objective of Disability Services is to empower qualified students with disabilities to engage in all facets of Fitchburg State College's academic, residential and student life.
What are academic and environmental accommodations?
To be eligible for academic accommodations, students must request services themselves and must provide appropriate documentation to support the need for such services. Requests for accommodations must be made in a timely manner, and must be reasonable, in regards to the nature of the disability. For information about how students can register with our office, see the for more information links below or contact our office directly by phone or email.
