2-pop - The Digital Filmmaker's Resource Site: a Creative Planet community full of discussion forums, up-to-the-minute DV news articles and other resources. 2 Pop is recognized as the central resource on the WWW for FCP and other DV-related topics.
Ken Stone's FCP Index - Probably the most valuable and dense collections of DV how-to articles, hardware and software product reviews, and a moderated discussion forum. This veteran web-teacher is a fixture of the FCP DV community and the author of an extraordinary number of FCP how-to documents made freely available over the WWW.
The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (LAFCPUG) - The most active public group proponent of Final Cut Pro outside of Cupertino. The LAFCPUG meets monthly and provides a unique interface between the builders and marketers at Apple and Final Cut Pro's adoring public. The LAFCPUG website publishes helpful articles, news materials and a discussion forum.
The Adam Wilt DV FAQ - What a guy! Adam Wilt's experience and comprehensive understanding of the technology of Digital Video and Audio is made available in a number of associate FAQ links. This man is responsible for clearing up an enormous amount of public disinformation about what DV can and cannot do. Do yourself a favor and read every word.
The Apple Final Cut Pro Support Page - Apple's own resource listing of most of their best Tech Info Library articles about common issues with FCP. Most of the articles require that you have an Apple ID (which you should have if you own a Mac, right?), and are really valuable pieces of the puzzle.
Barefeats Mac Speed Lab - A really great debunker site that gets to the nitty-gritty about comparing and evaluating new Apple hardware and software. Wonder whether buying that new Firewire drive will make a difference? The qualified answer can be found on this site.
Learn Dynamic Media - a great introductory website that explains the inner workings of DV, Final Cut Pro, Media 100 and other editing applications and codecs. The Jargon Buster page alone is worth the read.
