Welcome to the Communications Media Department website. We hope your visit here will give you a sense of the excitement the students and faculty of our Department share. We offer both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees with concentrations in several areas. The website will provide an explanation of each of our degrees and concentrations so feel free to browse through our site.
We are proud to say our students develop the resources to pursue careers in a broad range of media, business, public, and educational organizations; or to continue their education beyond the degree they earn at Fitchburg State College. A unique feature of our curriculum is the strong emphasis on application of what is learned in the classroom to everyday experiences as a professional. It is our hope that what we teach will become meaningful when students have a chance to use them in ways that make important connections between learning and practice. We take pride in the dedication of our faculty to challenge our students to think critically. More than this, we are inspired by the abilities of our students to think, and create in ways that extend how people see their world.
