American Association of Teachers of Italian
The AATI
was founded in 1924 to promote the study of Italian language, literature, and culture in schools, colleges and universities in North America. It has approximately 1500 members worldwide. The Association publishes the quarterly journal, Italica, and a twice-yearly Newsletter. It sponsors seminars and workshops in the broad area of Italian studies and holds annual meetings, usually in conjunction with ACTFL but also in Italy. AATI is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research in all areas of Italian studies.
Centro Attività Scolastiche Italiane - C.A.S.IT(Somerville, MA) In 1995, the Italian Consul General in Boston formed a non-profit educational and professional organization named Centro Attività Scolastiche Italiane (C.A.S.IT., Inc.), for the promotion of Italian language and culture in the public and private schools of New England. C.A.S.IT. is under the direction of the Consulate General of Italy.
Circolo di Conversazione Italiana (West Boylston, MA) A group of people interested in preserving their ability to speak Italian. The group meets twice a month from 10AM to Noon at the Beaman Memorial Library www.beamanlibrary.org The meeting is conducted prmarily in Italian.

It also ensures emergency assistance; help in locating family members, inheritance procedures initiated abroad and for the repatriation of mortal remains.
