Child Development Center
The Adventure Kids Child Development Center at Fitchburg State College is an early childhood program designed to meet the childcare needs of the college community. The center-based program provides warm, loving care and is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC). The Child Development Center is currently licensed to provide services to children between the ages of 2.9 years through 9 ½ years. The enrollment priorities are as follows: students, faculty/staff, and community. The program is also a training site for students of the college in early childhood education teacher training.
The program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and is located in the McKay Campus School Teacher Education Center. The center is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on a year-round basis. The Child Development Center is managed by Adventure Kids, a private agency in Leominster.
