stated that you need an accountant with two to three years of progressively
responsible experience with high tech clients, and proven success
with data management accounting procedures. After reviewing your
requirements and my background, I believe that my experience and
your needs match perfectly.
For the past three years, as my resume indicated, I have been working
during the summer and part-time for MLK Accountants as both a junior
accountant and auditor. I began at MLK as a staff assistant while
in high school and have been steadily promoted to my current position
while attending Fitchburg State College. I have successfully worked
on a wide variety of accounts, mostly for Fortune 500 firms in the
New York City area. In addition, I was a term coordinator for MLK’s
computerization of its accounts in 1993. 1 personally evaluated
and suggested MLK’s current VAX 220 system, as well as structured
a successful in-house database training program for all clerical
employees on the new system. Furthermore, in conjunction with my
BA studies at Fitchburg, I developed a specialty in statistics that
I have used with tax cases on high tech and computer accounts.
I believe that I can make some substantive contributions as an
accountant at Copyvox, for my proven skills and your growth into
voice activated equipment merge well. I would welcome a challenging
position with a progressive company like Copyvox.
