Housing and Residential Services: Mission and Goals
Mission Statement
To provide the best possible living environment, at a reasonable
cost, that supports the academic endeavors and personal growth
of the individual residents.
Goals
Strive to provide quality on-campus housing and dining services
that includes
well-maintained facilities, professional delivery
of services, and the development of communities that are respectful
of diversity and foster academic achievement. Through the
dedication of our resources, time and personnel, we will provide
a quality living experience that encourages personal growth
of the individual in a caring and responsible manner while
maintaining a fiscally sound, self-supporting operation.
Objectives
To increase the level of communication between end-users and the department.
To provide opportunities for Housing and Residential Services staff at all levels, Resident Assistant to Director, to interact, be informed, and provide input on unit and/or college decisions.
To improve operations within Housing & Residential Services with a focus on streamlined processes, improved operating efficiencies and customer service.
A. Review opportunities for implementation of new technology.
B. Review opportunities for shifting to more on-line services/processes.
C. Identify two EBI target areas for improvement.
To assist with development of a plan to expand summer camp and conference operations.
To support the academic mission and needs of the college.
Assessment Indicators / Targets
A. Implement new system to manage "show rooms".
B. Expand housing demand management team to include residents.
C. Complete review and update of all marketing materials - December 2007.
A. Hold at least one all staff department meeting per semester.
B. Hold monthly expanded staff meeting that includes support and maintenance staff.
A. Identify and implement at least one new technology solution.
B. Develop proposal, including recommendations, priorities, and resources necessary, to implement identified on-line services.
C. Implement action plan to improve student satisfaction results in target area of 2007-2008 EBI Survey.
Secure one additional camp/conference group for summer of 2008. Complete a proposed marketing strategy.
A. Complete review of FYRE Program and development of program objectives.
B. Form a cross-divisional steering committee and programs to support the FYRE program.
C. Identify measures to evaluate program.
