Building Careers in Early Childhood Education, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education of Early Education and Care (EEC), supports the training and education of local pre-school educators. The Special Education Coursework funding is intended to enhance the ability of early education and care and out-of-school time educators to work with children with disabilities, to plan and implement a curriculum, and to assess the needs of all children including those with disabilities and those who are not proficient in English. An important program goal is to promote the inclusion of children with disabilities in early education and care and out-of-school time programs.

A Great Opportunity for Building Careers and ECE Scholarship Students
At their last Campaign Advisory Committee meeting on November 5th, Strategies for Children/Early Education for All (EEA) heard from four students who are currently participating in Building Careers grant program, ECE Scholarship program, or both. The stories of these students have been highlighted on EEA’s website; EEA would love to hear from more early educators. Please share this resource with your students and encourage them to share their own stories and successes.
Please visit the Strategies for Children site to read and submit Early Educators Profiles: Higher Education Journeys.
