Undergraduate Research Internships in Ecology and Animal Behavior

This research project is funded by a Collaborative Research at Undergraduate Institutions grant from the National Science Foundation* and provides for up to $4,860 each for 6 Biology students over the course of the year. Students will begin working in the spring in collaboration with Biology and Computer Science faculty to design, conduct, and analyze experiments using small computer systems to interact with fireflies and bats in field and laboratory setting

Undergraduate presentations of research:

Pre-Medical and Pre-Health Professional Programs: (back)

Students interested in pursuing pre-medical or other pre-health professional
(pre-pharmacy, pre-dental, pre-vet, physician assistant, etc.) programs are
encouraged to identify themselves to the pre-medical advisor,
Professor Meledath
Govindan
(Condike Science 204).  While it is not required that pre-medical students major in biology, it is important that they take the required pre-medical courses in an orderly manner and earn good grades in them.  This will require proper curriculum planning and the
pre-medical advisor will assist with that.  Professor Govindan also maintains
information on MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test), the application to
medical schools, and about summer research and enrichment programs,
participation in which will strengthen health professional school application.
