What is Banner?
Sungard Higher Education's Banner is an integrated suite of software products that use an internet native (web based) environment for tracking in. The SungardHE Banner modules implemented by Fitchburg State College include Finance, Student, Financial Aid, Human Resources and Alumni Development.
What is the Difference Between INB and SSB?
Though both are accessible through a web browser, there are some distinct differences. INB (Internet Native Banner) is the more powerful version that we use here on campus. SSB (Self Service Banner) is a more limited version that is accessible to students, staff, faculty and even potential students anywhere with internet access. Students can use SSB to apply, pay a bill, register for a class, etc. Faculty can manage class lists, enter grades, etc. with SSB.
